All AseraCare employees have received education from the CDC, WHO, and CMS on preventing the spread of COVID-19 and are screened prior to patient visits according to prescribed CDC/WHO guidelines.
All AseraCare employees willingly submit to secondary screening protocols per partner facility guidelines.
Updates and Training
All AseraCare employees are updated weekly (Wednesday) regarding CDC/WHO/CMS recommendations along with sector-specific training through the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).
AseraCare is committed to consistent staffing for maximum safety, comfort, and overall patient experience.
RN Call Center
AseraCare maintains its RN Call Center, ensuring that all patients have access to an AseraCare RN answering the phone each evening and on weekends.
AseraCare remains committed to a timely and seamless transition for new referrals as well as confident in admitting and caring for those specifically diagnosed with COVID-19.
AseraCare offers multiple alternatives for ongoing support: virtual care visits by MSW/spiritual care/Bereavement support, virtual care collaboration meetings, educational support across technology platforms.
Out of an abundance of caution, AseraCare is limiting volunteer visits for the next two weeks to mitigate the possibility of community exposure of COVID-19.
AseraCare’s contracted DME vendors operate under strict protocols established by CDC/CMS and will coordinate according to facility or family instructions.
